10:30- 11:00 The place for the Arch was not chosen by chance, from this point there is the breathtaking view of the Biblical Mount Ararat. The words stamped on the arch belong to one of the most respected Armenian poets, Yeghishe Charents, who sang about this great and sacred mountain. That's why people call this construction "Charents Arch".

Garni pagan temple was built in the second half of the I century by King Trdat III. It is the only pagan temple preserved on the territory of Armenia. After the adoption of Christianity, it became the summer residence of Khosorovdukht, the sister of King Trdat III. The temple is believed to have been dedicated to Mitra, the Sun God. The temple is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

"If you haven't seen the Symphony of Stones, you haven't been to Armenia." This natural monument is stunning and awe-inspiring. The site is a gorge whose rocks consist of huge basalt columns overhanging the ground at a height of about 50 meters.

15:30 - 16:30 Geghard Monastery is one of the greatest medieval architectural constructions in Armenia, founded in the 4th century AD on the site of a sacred spring, originating in a cave. Geghard is completely hollowed out in a cave; it is also called a "cave monastery". The monastery complex is included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

Khor Virap – Armenian monastery, built in 642, translated from Armenian means “deep hole”. Khor Virap is one of the shrines of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a place of pilgrimage. The most interesting fact of this monastery is the fact that it was built on the site of the royal prison, where Gregory the Illuminator was previously imprisoned – the patron saint and the first official head of the Armenian Apostolic Church by the Armenian king for 13 years. From the territory of the monastery there is an unusual view of the biblical mountain Ararat.

Noratus Cemetery is a medieval cemetery with ancient khachkars located in the village of Noratus. This cemetery owns the biggest amount of khachkars in Armenia.

11:30 – 13:00 Lake Sevan and Sevanavank monastery

Lake Sevan is the largest water body of Armenia. Besides having blue and green natural landmarks, town of Sevan and the nearby villages are famous for their architectural monuments. Sevanavank is the most famous of them. Sevanavank is located on the peninsula of Sevan. In 305, it was founded by St. Gregory the Illuminator, who built the church on the place of a pagan temple. In the 9th century the princes of Syunik made Sevan a point of their support. In 874 the wife of the Syunik prince Vasak and the daughter of the king Ashot Bagratuni – Mariam built here two churches – St. Arakelots and St. Astvatcatsin.

Haghartsin monastery is a spiritual and cultural center of medieval Armenia, located 12 km from Dilijan, surrounded by thick woods, beautiful landscapes. It is considered to be a unique example of architecture and nature harmony. The Haghartsin monument is located on a plateau surrounded by forested mountains, far beyond the settlements, with remarkable architectural value monuments and over hundreds of inscriptions, which contain rich material on the socio-political history of medieval Armenia.

Lake Parz is located in Dilijan National Park. The lake is small and was formed by natural climatic changes.

Day 5: Old Dilijan Complex – Haghpat monastery – Sanahin monastery – Mendz Er cave – Gyumri city

Haghpat Monastery is one of the largest and most important monasteries in Armenia. The monastery on the high plateau is bordered on the one one side by the peaks of the hills Surb Luys and Terunakan, and on the other side by the Lori fortress and in the Sagidzor canyon where flowing streams of the rivers Saghik and Kayan.

Sanahin Monastery complex is located on the right bank of the Debed river, in the village of Sanahin. The complex was founded by Ashot III Bagratuni in 966. Since the end of the 10th century it became an administrative center and a burial vault of the Kurikyan dynasty. In X-XI centuries, the monastery was a major cultural center, a university and a rich library were founded. At the end of the 12th century the complex was subordinated to the ruling of the Zakaryan dynasty.

This tour will take you to the city of Gyumri – once the artistic capital, and possibly the most beautiful city of Armenia. You will get the chance to explore the city center with its two famous churches. Armenian Alphabet Monument is a monument which consists of 39 carved Armenian Letters. It was situated in 2005 as a gift for the 1600th birthday of Armenian Alphabet.

The monastery complex Saghmosavank is located on the right bank of the Kasakh River, in the village of Saghmosavan. According to tradition, Saghmosavank was founded by Grigor Lusavorich (Grigory the Illuminator). The St. Sion Church was built by Prince Vache Vachutian in 1215. It is a cross-shaped inside and rectangular outside church with a high cylinder-shaped drum and a conical dome. The facades of the church are decorated with “Armenian hollows”.

You can buy this service in full or book it by paying 30% of the total amount. In case of booking, you will pay the rest of the cost of your service online before providing the service or in cash / non-cash at the organization's office.

In case of changing the date of service, no fee will be charged if you inform the organization at least 24 hours before the service is provided, and in case of later notification on change - 10% of the total cost will be charged. It is possible to change the direction or type of service only at least 24 hours before the service is to be provided. In this case, the final calculation is made, the corresponding changes are made, if possible.

In the case of extreme weather conditions or force majeure, the entity has the right to change, reduce or cancel the approved purchase. In case of cancellation by the organization, you are offered another equivalent service.

Without any penalty purchase cancellation is available at least 24 hours in advance. After that, the whole value of the service is non-refundable in case of purchase, cancellation, as well as without the consent of the service provider. Payment methods
  1. Bank transfer is the transfer of an corresponding amount to the bank account of the organization. You can pay in drams, rubles, dollars and euros.
  2. Online payment is the payment made through the official website of the organization. At the moment it is possible to make a payment with Visa / Master cards of any exchange rate.
  3. Card payment is the payment via Visa / Master card through the POS terminal in the organization's office. The amount of the excursions/service is presented in Armenian drams, but you can pay with any exchange rate card (your bank changes the exchange rate of the corresponding amount). The organization does NOT CHARGE extra amount during card payment.
  4. Cash payment is the payment at the office of the organization by cash. Payments are accepted only in Armenian drams. There is a bank and ATM next to the organization's office.
