Dilijan, RA

Dilijan is a city in the Tavush region of the RA. Distance from Yerevan is 99 km. It is considered a city-sanatorium. There are 2 dozen mineral springs in the Dilijan area, which are rich in ingredients and are very healthy. Two of the sources are being bottled. "Dilijan" & "Dilijan Florova" mineral waters are equivalent in their health properties to the mineral waters of Franch "Vish" and Georgian "Borjomi". The Aghstev River with its tributaries and high, wooded mountains give a special charm to the city's landscape. Dilijan is usually compared to the famous Swiss resort of Davos and the Georgian Abastuman. The city has 3 museums, a library system, art and music schools.
