Located near Republic Square, it is a favorite destination for both tourists and locals looking for authentic and unique items, including jewelry, leather goods, paintings, and decorative souvenirs. Vernissage is also a great place to explore Armenian arts and craftsmanship.

Northern Avenue Northern Avenue is one of Yerevan’s most modern streets, connecting Republic Square and the Opera House. It is lined with luxury shops, cafés, and high-end residential buildings, making it a bustling hub for shopping and entertainment. The elegant architecture and lively atmosphere make it a favorite place for both locals and tourists to stroll and relax.

Opera House The Opera House is one of Yerevan’s most iconic cultural centers, located near Northern Avenue. Designed by Alexander Tamanyan and built in the 1930s, the building’s stunning architecture and grandeur attract many visitors. It is home to Armenia’s opera and ballet scene, hosting performances of opera, ballet, and classical music concerts. Nearby, you will find the National Conservatory and the Opera Park, making it a significant cultural spot in the city.

Cascade Complex The Cascade is a massive stairway complex in Yerevan, decorated with waterfalls, sculptures, and gardens, offering panoramic views of the city and Mount Ararat. It is also home to the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, which features modern art exhibitions. As a cultural landmark and a favorite gathering place for visitors, the Cascade represents the vibrant spirit of Yerevan.

Victory Park Victory Park is a vast green space in Yerevan, dedicated to Armenia’s victories during World War II. It features amusement rides and attractions. At its center stands the Mother Armenia statue, symbolizing strength and peace. The park offers stunning views of Yerevan and Mount Ararat, making it a peaceful and historically significant site.

Mother Armenia The Mother Armenia statue stands tall in Victory Park, symbolizing strength, peace, and the resilience of the Armenian people. This 22-meter-high monument, holding a sword and a shield, replaced a former statue of Stalin and serves as a tribute to those who fought for Armenia’s freedom. It is a powerful symbol of national pride and history.

This site will transport you back to the 3rd century AD.

Geghard Monastery Geghard Monastery is named after the Holy Spear, which, according to legend, was used by a Roman centurion to pierce the side of the crucified Christ. The spear was brought to Armenia and kept at Geghard for five centuries. This 13th-century monastery represents Armenian architecture’s golden age. What makes it extraordinary is that parts of it are carved into the cliffs, yet still follow classical Armenian architectural principles. Geghard Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Symphony of Stones The Symphony of Stones features gigantic pentagonal and hexagonal basalt columns, some 50 meters high, that appear artificially crafted due to their stunning symmetry.
