State symbols of the Republic of Armenia are the flag, the anthem and the Coat of Arms.

 

The anthem 

The Anthem of the Republic of Armenia is based on the poem «The song of the Italian Girl» by Armenian poet Mikael Nalbandyan, the anthem is more famous as «Our Fatherland» according to the first line of the poem. The music was composed by Barsegh Kanachyan.

The flag of Armenia

The flag of Armenia is of three colors in stripes of the same width – red, blue and orange. The Red emblematizes the Armenian people's continued struggle for independence and freedom, the Blue emblematizes the will of the people of Armenia to live beneath peaceful skies, and the Orange emblematizes the hard-working nature of the people of Armenia.

 

Coat of Arms

On a shield, positioned in the center, the four Armenian royal dynasties’ arm coats are represented - the Arshakounides, Artashesides, the Bargratunides, the Rubenides and on the center of the four dynasties’ arm coats Mount Ararat is represented with Noah's Arch on the top.

 

 

The geographical location
