Brief description

Tsaghkadzor is cozy city in Kotayk province of Armenia, a popular ski and climatic resort, which translated from Armenian means “Gorge of Flowers”. Here you will see mountains, snow-capped peaks, swift rivers, teep cliffs, picturesque valleys covered with flower carpet, dense forests and medicinal springs. You will visit Kecharis monastery and the ropeway. After you will see Lake sevan, which is surrounded by mountain ranges from all sides, offering a stunning view of alpine lake. Here you will also visit Sevanavank monastery, which was erected in the 9th century on the shores of Lake Sevan.

Tsaghkadzor (Kecharis Monastery, Ropeway)

Tsaghkadzor is a cozy city in Kotayk province of Armenia, a popular ski and climatic resort, which translated from Armenian means “Gorge of Flowers”. Already in the V century BC became aware of the curative properties of the local climate. And the nature here is indescribable! Here you will see mountains, snow-capped peaks, swift rivers, steep cliffs, picturesque valleys covered with flower carpet, dense forests and medicinal springs, among them well-known Arjahpyuru and Ttujur. In Tsaghkadzor you will find all the conditions for a good rest and sport. There are many children’s camps, rest homes. Also the main sports complex of the country was also built, which brought Tsaghkadzor international fame. In Tsaghkadzor You can ride on the aerial cable car and enjoy the beautiful view of the bright blue Sevan, Greater and Lesser Ararat. Kecharis Monastery Complex of 11th century is also located here. It was founded by Pahlavuni princes.

Lake Sevan, Sevanavank Monastery

The high-mountainous Lake Sevan is the “pearl of Armenia”. Lake Sevan – located at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level in the center of the Armenian highland, 63 km northeast of the Armenian capital of Yerevan city and is the largest of the Caucasus lakes. From all sides, Sevan is surrounded by mountain ranges, offering a stunning view of alpine lake.. The lake is famous for its purest fresh water, and pure mountain air has a beneficial effect on health. The monastery of Sevanavank was erected in the 9th century on the shores of Lake Sevan. Today, from the monastery, built in the IX century, there were only two churches – Surb Arakelots and Surb Astvatsatsin, standing among the many ancient khachkars.

The final stop will be in a local bakery, where you will participate in the procedure of baking traditional armenian bread.
