Hiking tour in Armenia: Mt. Aragats (southern peak-3879 m)
Description

Discover Armenia and take individual one day hikes to the lowest (southern-3879 m) peak of the highest mountain in Armenia – Aragats. It is an extinct volcano; four peaks have formed in result of volcanic eruption. The starting point is Lake Kari, at an altitude of 3200 meters, which has formed after snowmelt. The hike is accompanied by the view of mysterious Ararat from south. On the top there is a beautiful view of the crater and other three peaks. The name of the mountain translated from Armenian means Ara’s Throne- Armenian god whom is dedicated another mountain near Aragats. During the rise there will be about 3-4 halts.
