Hiking tour in Armenia: Mt. Azhdahak
Description

Discover  Mt Azhdahak, the highest point of Geghama range and the third highest mountain in the territory of Armenia after Mt Aragats and Mt Kaputjugh. Mt Azhdahak is extinct volcano and the slopes of the mountain have interesting red hue, that is why sometimes we call it Armenian “Mars”. On the road back we can meet petroglyphs, which date back to 3-5 millenniums BC. We start hiking neat Mt Paytasar. Afterwards we climb Mt Karmir Katar and Mt Azhdahak. On the summit the marvelous view of Lake Sevan, Mts Hatis, Ara and Aragats on one line is opened in front of you the Ancient History!
